The first day of fall brought cooler weather and rainy conditions, but it did not deter Robert Morris from celebrating its 2023 Homecoming weekend.
Members of the 2023 Homecoming Court were introduced last night under the lights at the annual Homecoming Dance. Last week on Tuesday and Wednesday, the student body was able to vote on the two students they wanted to be crowned Homecoming Royalty via Revolution.
During halftime at the Robert Morris football game against the VA Lynchburg Dragons, the court was once again announced and the winners were crowned. RMU President Dr. Michelle Patrick first crowned Allison Ezbiansky as Homecoming Queen. Ezbiansky was representing sorority Zeta Tau Alpha and was escorted by Caleb Morgan, who is a member of Phi Delta Theta.
As Ezbiansky and Morgan began walking over to the center of the field, Lamont Grimes Jr. was crowned Homecoming King. Grimes Jr. represented Black Student Union and was escorted by Aniyha Collins.
Also running for the crown were Melanie Andrew representing Student Government, Madison Kerrigan from Delta Phi Epsilon, Caitlin Kiliany representing Sigma Kappa, Megan Ledgerwood from Kappa Kappa Psi, and Breanna Vereshack representing Delta Zeta.
On the men’s side, Jack Enterline from Phi Mu Delta, Clayton Pfeifer representing FYSP and Running Club, and Cade Skuse from Top Secret Colonials also ran for the crown.
Despite the rain and cold, the Homecoming Court was excited to be representing Robert Morris, and the crowd got to see a huge win for Robert Morris Colonials Football.
