Step right up!

Last Friday the sorority Delta Phi Epsilon hosted their fall philanthropic event, which was a carnival, to raise funding and awareness for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The bright and colorful event took place in the John Jay Gym from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Tickets were $5 each to enter the carnival. There were five stars on your ticket, and you were able to redeem stars to get various things. You could get a food item, play a game, or even get your face painted.

Games included bobbing for apples, mini basketball, putt-putt golf and ring toss. If you succeeded at the games, you were given tickets that you could enter into raffle baskets that would be auctioned off at the end of the night. Those who wanted more chances to win these prizes were able to buy additional raffle tickets.

To go along with the carnival theme, popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, snow cones and lemonade were offered. Since there was so much you could get and do at the carnival, if you wanted more stars, you were able to purchase additional tickets. All of the proceeds went to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Delta Phi Epsilon is looking forward to hosting their second large philanthropic event in the spring, which is typically a fashion show.
