With the arrival of spring so comes a new business focused on animals. A new location for Pittsburgh Paws Pet Resort is on its way Sewickley.
Pittsburgh Paws, a dog daycare that also features cat and dog boarding facilities, is setting up its first storefront just along Ohio River Boulevard. With specialized programs and professional counselors, Pittsburgh Paws is not a typical daycare.
Upon arrival each dog is tested for its behavior to determine which group to be placed with, which makes a safer and more individualized play environment for the animals.
The counselors of Pittsburgh Paws are there to cater to each dog’s needs. Training can be be specialized to better suit the needs of each animal. This Pet Resort wants to work with your dogs, and to help them be better with other dogs.
Owner and operator Jennifer DeSalvo purposely designed the programs to make sure the animals would be treated just as if they were at home. “These pets are people’s children,” she said. “They are their babies.”
DeSalvo’s passion for animals fuels this business. She has a background with both pets and business.
Pittsburgh Paws will open its doors June 1, 2014. It’s equipped for up to 75 dogs in its daycare facilities and 40 dogs in its boarding facilities. Reservations are open.
Pittsburgh Paws is located at 9 Ohio River Boulevard. For more information regarding services and reservations visit the company’s website at www.pghpaws.com or call (724)-888-PAWS.
