The Beatles have released a new album with previously unreleased tracks. The newly released album is entitled “On Air – Live at the BBC Volume 2.” The tracks consist of songs and dialogue The Beatles recorded at England’s BBC from 1963- 1965.

In 1994, The Beatles released “Live at the BBC” to worldwide success and without surprise the new album, which features 63 tracks, and has no overlap with the past BBC release. It shouldn’t be surprising, however that a new album of unreleased recordings was released, because like many of the bands from the Beatles era, they too have dug into the archives to release many unheard and unreleased recordings.

The new release captures the excitement and energy the members of The Beatles had in performing live on the BBC radio.

Paul McCartney said, “There’s a lot of energy and spirit. We are going for it, not holding back at all, trying to put in the best performance of our lifetimes.”

And without surprise, the new album has received much acclaim from fans all over the world. “On Air – Live at the BBC Volume 2” offers listeners a chance to listen to raw live in studio performances without much overdubbing and editing. Much like “The Beatles Live at the BBC” (1994), the new album captures the time period America and the world were overcome by Beatlemania. The album also captures how The Beatles matured over the early part of their careers and began to intertwine the influences of Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and Buddy Holly into their own compositions. Although The Beatles broke up in  1970, the legacy and the songs of the group are still alive and well in today’s world. “The Beatles On Air – Live at the BBC” Volume 2 is available on CD, vinyl, and at online music stores.
