The RMU Island Sports Center was evacuated due to a bomb threat according to an RMU Alert sent out at approximately 3:51 p.m.

Robert Morris Police and the police of Ohio Township have been to the Island Sports Center and determined that the bomb threat was a hoax.

The suspects have been identified, according to Jonathan Potts, senior director of public relations for the university.

“The suspects were not students of Robert Morris,” said Potts. ” They were not affiliated in any way with Robert Morris.”

The police have also determined that there is no threat to the Moon campus after sweeping some of the buildings.

“We are confident that this incident was a hoax,” said Potts.

According to another RMU alert sent out, the Island Sports Center has been reopened.
