On Wednesday, RMU Sentry Media received a phone call today from Allegheny County that the South Tenth Street Bridge will be Closed on Sunday, October 15, for the Pittsburgh Penguin 6.6k Run Walk Marathon from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Penguins were given a successful permit to close the bridge down for the event. So be on the lookout for a detour to get around the bridge closure. The run walk will benefit the Mario Lemieux Foundation and the Pittsburgh Penguin Foundation.
The bridge will reopen on Monday at 5 a.m. For the latest updates regarding the bridge closure due to the marathon, please refer to the Allegheny County website.
