After four years, the Wheatley Cafe will change and partner with Saxbys. The partnership includes opportunities for students to work in the cafeteria.
In a statement by RMU:
“The partnership with RMU is a natural fit as the institution emphasizes professional experiences and infuses the spirit of entrepreneurship in all of its programs to ensure that its students leave the institution equipped for incredible success post-graduation. This exciting new partnership will provide students with an enriching new opportunity for paid internships and leadership opportunities directly on the RMU campus. In fact, Saxbys student leaders consistently outpace national averages for on-time graduation and full-time job placement, and even fast-track to leadership roles after graduating from college.”
The cafe has been used more for studying and homework for the past four years. This change allows for more areas on campus.
In a joint stament made by Dr. Patrick and CEO Nick Bayer, “As The Saxbys Experiential Learning Platform continues to expand, we remain committed to partnering with institutions that share our vision of empowering students, and RMU’s mission to foster entrepreneurial skills and an entrepreneurial mindset in all of its students makes this partnership a perfect fit. Providing students with transformational opportunities to be engaged, successful, and career-ready is a shared goal between Saxbys and RMU, and we couldn’t be more excited about our partnership at RMU, we believe in incorporating the spirit of entrepreneurship into everything we do. We’re thrilled to partner with Saxbys to provide this unique entrepreneurial opportunity for our students and to enhance the experience of our entire campus community.”
