Calling all car owners in the Moon Township Area. With the recent arrival of spring, drivers will be given the opportunity to ditch their dirty, winter look. On April 21, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Robert Morris University’s women’s soccer team will be holding a car wash to raise funds for the team to go on a trip to the state of Colorado. The car wash will be held in the Moon Township Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) parking lot.
Brittany Rowe, a freshman on the women’s soccer team, said members of the team were worried about establishing enough money to accomplish their goal of taking their trip to the state of Colorado for an annual soccer tournament.
“This year we were really worried about making enough money for an away trip. Away trips have been a team tradition; with fundraising throughout the year, I feel more excited about Colorado in 2012 than worried at this point,” said Rowe.
The soccer team will be accepting donations, included with the fee for the car wash. Fundraising is often experienced by the RMU women’s soccer team and more often than not, it determines if trips such as these are feasible or not.
