Famous country star Toby Keith has passed away at age 62 after a 2-year battle with stomach cancer. His death was announced on various social media platforms, sharing he passed on the evening of Monday, February 5th.
Keith wrote many top hits, including “Red Solo Cup”, “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue (The Angry American)”, and “As Good As I Once Was”. His music touched millions, and now so has his loss.

Stomach cancers are usually discovered in people in their 60s and are traditionally rare in younger patients. This form of cancer affects 27,000 Americans each year, killing around 11,000. Younger patients have been presented with stomach cancers, which may be due to the rising rates of antibiotic treatments as reported by the Cleveland Clinic.
The legacy of Toby Keith will not go down in vain. The larger-than-life country star will continue living on in his music and his impact on thousands of fans. Keith has been honored by many within the media, including by Darius Rucker at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.
