Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers: Police seeking tips from February Homestead homicide

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help with an open homicide investigation from February.
In the early morning hours of Feb. 2, 2019, police responded to reports of gunshots around East 17 Street in Homestead. Upon arrival, police found a black male with gunshot wounds lying in the street.
The male had been shot twice in the head and once in the thigh. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The victim was identified as 22-year-old Tre-Quan Embry. Embry’s mother said he had left residence on East 17 Street moments before gunshots were heard. A price officer also remembers seeing Embry before the shooting occurred.
Anyone with information is asked to call Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers at 412-255-8477. A $1,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone involved in the homicide.
