The dates have been set for this year’s Picklesburgh festival.
The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership announced on Wednesday that Picklesburgh is scheduled for Friday, July 11, through Sunday, July 13.
In the USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards, Picklesburgh was voted the best food festival. Picklesburgh beat competitors like the Cheese Curd Festival in Ellsworth, Wisconsin, and the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo. It is the fourth win for Picklesburgh.
The president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership stated, “We want to thank all the pickle-passionate people and dill devotees who cast their votes over the past few weeks. We look forward to relishing this sweet victory with all of you when Picklesburgh returns in July!”
The Picklesburgh Festival was established in 2015, and last year’s 250,000 attendees broke a record. The festival began on the Rachel Carson Bridge but expanded its footprint to the Boulevard of the Allies, and it is now four days long.
According to Picklesburgh’s website, this year’s location details will be announced soon.
