Former President Donald Trump was indicted today by the Manhattan Grand Jury on charges relating to a payment of adult actress Stormy Daniels.

Trump is the first former president to be charged with a crime after leaving office. He is currently scheduled to run for president in 2024.

The former president released a statement today via his campaign. “This is political persecution and election interference at the highest level in history. From the time I came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower, and even before I was sworn in as your President of the United States, the Radical Left Democrats-the enemy of the hard-working men and women of this country-have been engaged in a witch hunt to destroy the Make America Great Again movement.”

According to Trumps Defense Attorney, Joe Tacopina, Trump will most likely be arraigned in court next week.
