After a nearly 7-hour SWAT standoff in Aliquippa PA, a 39-year-old man has been apprehended.
The situation began as a domestic event at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, as the man, armed with a gun, locked his girlfriend out of the house while barricading himself. Irwin Street in Aliquippa PA was blocked off most of the day.
The SWAT team tried multiple tactics to remove the suspect from the home. Different devices, tear gas, and finally, a rushing tactic were used to seize the suspect. The police have stated that he has a history of mental illness, and was involved in a similar barricade situation three years prior.
