Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, the Democratic presidential nominees spent Sunday afternoon traveling through Western Pennsylvania before their flight to Chicago for the Democratic National Convention.
Vice President Harris and Tim Walz made several appearances throughout the Pittsburgh region, including stops in Rochester, Aliquippa, And Moon Township. These stops drew in crowds of Trump Supporters who were there to let the Harris campaign know how they felt about Harris’s arrival.
Trump supporters showed up waving their banners and signs. A group of people was from the “MAGA-warriors” which is a group of “dedicated Trump Supporters”.
An anonymous bystander stated, “I heard Kamala was coming to MAGA country, I wanted to let her know it was MAGA country and that we all support Trump here.”
Many supporters shared the same views when posed questions about Harris’ policies. Many protestors brought up the border and wanted it to be more secure.
Harris even had a few supporters show up to cheer her on as her motorcade stormed down University Boulevard. One Harris supporter stated, “I support Kamala and Walz for the presidency and vice presidency for the United States of America.”
When asked about Harris’ strengths, one of her supporters said that Harris was talented at “bringing people together… No name calling and staying focused, bringing everybody to the table whether you’re white, African American, Latino, gay, or lesbian. She’s bringing everybody together.”
This was the campaign’s last stop before the Democrat National Convention, which takes place in Chicago, from Aug 19 to Aug 22.
