Brunton Dairy, a seventh-generation family-owned dairy farm in Beaver County, was in flames in the early evening of October 26th.
Crews were called to Brunton Dairy for the fire around 5 p.m. Smoke was visible throughout the surrounding area. Fire departments from New Sewickley to Beaver Falls came to the scene.
The fire caused extensive damage to the farm. Jeffrey Brunton, a family member, farm employee, and Head Coach of Hopewell High School’s Track and Field team, made a statement on the Hopewell Track and Field Twitter account:
“For everyone wondering, no one was hurt in the fire, but the milking barn and bottling plant are gone,” wrote Brunton. “Almost all the cows made it out. Thank you for your prayers..”
The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
