Pittsburgh Riverhounds president Vic Gregovits discusses upcoming Sports Management Summit

With this year marking the 45th anniversary of the Sport Management Summit, a long list of alumni are coming back to help current students in their future careers. One of these members is Pittsburgh Riverhounds president Vic Gregovits.

Gregovits hopes to contribute to current students building a network and entering the sport management world as his professors did for him,

“Even from an alum, I talk to those professors often and some have turned into really good friends, and I don’t think others experience that, that go to different schools.”

The 1986 alumnus encourages students to take advantage of the summit and all other opportunities that may be available for them while in college,

“From a networking standpoint, you never know when you are going to cross paths with some of these people, and they’re there for you,” said Gregovits. “So take advantage of it. You can just get through it, or you can really network and make some friends, and make some lifelong friends. I’m always fascinated when I leave there how many people, how many alums I’ve never met before. To me, it’s a great opportunity.”
