02/01/22: Fire Alarm-False Activation: An RMU Island Sport Center Public Safety Officer was informed a fire alarm had been activated in the golf dome. It was determined a sensor got tangled in the net. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. The case is closed.

 

02/03/22: Theft of Property: Student reported a speaker was missing from Lexington Hall. RMU Police reviewed the cameras and located the speaker. Officers retrieved it and returned the speaker to the owner. One student will be sent through student conduct. This case is closed.

 

02/04/22: Property Damage (Vehicle): RMU Maintenance notified the RMU Police about a tree that had fallen on a vehicle at Yorktown Hall. The student was notified. Pictures were taken for insurance purposes. The case is closed.

 

02/05/22: Departmental Information: An outside contractor working on the fire system in the Bistro at the RMU Island Sports Center accidently activated the system. Ohio Township Fire arrived on scene and varied the false alarm. This case is closed.

 

02/05/22: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be a student cooking a pizza. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. The case is closed.

 

02/06/22: Fire Alarm-False Activation: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Concord Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be unknown. RMU Maintenance checked the smoke detector head. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

 

02/06/22: Disturbance/Loud Music or People: RMU Police received a noise complaint for Ross Hall. Officers responded and met up with Residence Life. Both parties were separated. Officers took statements and documented this incident. The case is closed.

 

02/07/22: Suspicious Incident: A student reported hearing a suspicious noise coming from behind Yorktown Hall. RMU Police responded and searched the area with negative findings. It was determined the noise was from an unidentified animal. This case is closed.

 

02/07/22: Departmental Information: A Parkhurst employee reported being harassed off campus. The employee contacted their local police department to have the incident documented. The case is closed.

 

02/07/22: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be steam from the shower. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

 

02/07/22: Student Conduct: A Student Rec Center employee reported a student in the weight room who had been banned from the building. RMU Police responded and located the student. It was explained why they cannot be in the building and then they were escorted out. The case is closed.
