March 10, 2020

201 Commitment: RMU Counseling Center requested the RMU Police Department to transport a patient. Officers drove the patient to the hospital without incident.

March 11, 2020

Lost Property: RMU faculty reported losing their handbag in Patrick Henry. RMU Detectives located the handbag and it was picked up.

Accident Involving Damage – Att. Veh/Prop: RMU student reported their vehicle was struck at the front entrance of campus. Officers made contact with both owners. Report and pictures taken for insurance purposes.

Medical Emergency: RMU student requested medical attention for a student in the PNC Cafe. The student was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

March 12, 2020

Criminal Mischief: Residence Life reported a broken window in Adams Hall. Maintenance was contacted to fix the window. This incident is being investigated by RMU Detectives.

Disturbance/Loud Music or People: RMU Police received a noise complaint for Lexington Hall. Officers responded and found a large gathering in the common area. They were told to return to their rooms and warned they will be arrested if this continues.

March 13, 2020

Disturbance/Loud Music or People: RMU Police came across a loud party in Lexington Hall during dorm walks. Residence Life was notified. Six students sent through student conduct for alcohol violations. Five visitors trespassed. One arrested for underage drinking.

Disturbance/Loud Music or People: RMU Police noticed a large group gathered at the Gazebo fire pit. Officers told them to clean up and return to their rooms. They all complied without incident.

Student Conduct: RMU Police noticed a group of students on the portico of Concord Hall. Residence Life was notified. Four students sent through student conduct.

Departmental Information: Island Sports Center staff received concerning emails. The emails were forwarded to the RMU Police for documentation purposes.

Welfare Check: RMU Police Department received a call from a parent requesting a welfare check on the student. Officers and Residence Life made contact with the student.

March 14, 2020

Underage Purchase, Consumption, Possession: RMU Police came across a small group drinking in the Ross Hall lounge while conducting housing patrol. Residence Life was notified. Three students sent through student conduct for alcohol violations. One student arrested for underage drinking.

March 15, 2020

Departmental Information: RMU Alumni requested access into Wheatley computer lab. Officers asked the individual to leave when they could not provide a Freedom card.

March 16, 2020

Departmental Information: Duquesne University Police requested information on a former student.

Fire Alarm/Smoke Detector Activated: Moon Dispatch reported a fire alarm activated in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt food. The fire department was cancelled and the panel reset.
