04/08/15 – Disturbance – This department was advised of a verbal argument between two fans at the men’s lacrosse game. Both parties were separated, and an officer stood by until the end of the game to avoid any further contact. (Closed)
04/08/15 – Suspicious Person – This department was advised of a suspicious male, making inappropriate comments to people in the Nicholson Center. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the male involved. (Closed)
04/09/15 – Disorderly Conduct – Officers were advised that the same suspicious male was back in Nicholson Center from the night before. Officers located the male, issued a Trespass Warning, and cited him for disorderly conduct and harassment. The male was then removed from campus. (Closed)
04/09/15 – Trouble Alarm – This department was advised of a trouble alarm activated in the Jefferson Center. Maintenance was notified and reset the alarm. (Closed)
04/09/15 – Trouble Alarm – This department was advised of a trouble alarm activated in the Wheatley Center. Maintenance was notified and reset the alarm. (Closed)
04/09/15 – Trouble Alarm – This department was advised of a trouble alarm activated in the Chapel. Maintenance was notified and reset the alarm. (Closed)
04/09/15 – Traffic Stop – An officer conducted a traffic stop on Colonial Way for a burnt out taillight. During the stop the vehicles registration was found to be expired. The driver was issued a citation for the violation. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Suspicious Incident – This department was advised of someone looking into windows in Madison Hall. Officers checked the building with negative results. The male was located by reviewing cameras and was interviewed by this department. The male reported he was unsure of where a friend’s room was and this is the reason for looking into the window. This incident will be handled through Judicial Affairs. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian reported system trouble alarm in several buildings on campus. The storm from the previous night is the cause for the alarms and maintenance is aware of the situation. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Traffic Stop – An officer conducted a traffic stop on Campus Driver for expired registration. The outcome of the traffic stop ended with the driver receiving three citations. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Traffic Stop – An officer conducted a traffic stop on Campus Drive for a vehicle without a license plate. The proper documentation was shown that the plate was lost by the dealership. A warning was issued to the driver. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Accident – This department was advised of a minor accident on Colonial Way. Both parties exchanged information and a report was issued for insurance purposes. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Assist Another Agency – This department assisted Moon Township Police in an attempting to locate a suicidal male. Officers assisted without incident. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Departmental Information – An informational report was issued for a vehicle that was possibly damaged at Yorktown Hall. The caller reported seeing damage on the vehicle next to them and does not believe it was caused by them, but wanted their information on file in case it was. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian reported a trouble alarm activated in the Nicholson Center. Maintenance was advised and reset the alarm. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Departmental Information – Guardian Protection was on campus repairing a faulty line in Washington Hall. The technician advised that the line was repaired and working properly. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Found Property – A wallet was turned into this department that was left behind on one of the shuttles. The owner was notified that it was at the Barry Center for them to retrieve. (Closed)
04/10/15 – Student Conduct – A student reported a group of males making inappropriate comments outside of Yorktown Hall. The cameras will be reviewed in an attempt to identify the males involved. Once identified they will be handled accordingly under Pennsylvania State law. (Open)
04/11/15 – Welfare Check – This department checked on a student who reportedly made threats to harm himself or herself. Officers located the student and called the crisis counselor out to speak with them. All parties cleared the call without incident. (Closed)
04/11/15 – Fire Alarm – Moon Township Police notified this department of fire alarm activation at Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and found the system to be normal. There was a brief power outage in the area that was the cause for the alarm. (Closed)
04/11/15 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall. Upon officers arrival it was determined that the cause was from the residents cooking. Maintenance was notified and reset the alarm. (Closed)
04/11/15 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian reported a trouble signal at Washington Hall. Maintenance responded and was unable to rest the system, but was able to silence until repaired. (Closed)
04/12/15 – Assist Another Agency – Moon Township Police requested assistance in searching for a male that ran from them and was headed towards campus. The male was located and cited for underage drinking. (Closed)
04/12/15 – Trouble Alarm – Guardian reported several trouble alarms activated on campus. Maintenance was notified, is aware of the situation and currently working on the issue. (Closed)
04/12/15 – Departmental Information – Guardian reported more UDAT failure alarms activated on campus. Maintenance was notified and building checks were conducted. (Closed)
04/12/15 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Massey Hall. The building was checked and everything was normal. Maintenance was notified of the alarm. (Closed)
04/12/15 – Departmental Information – A student requested use of a room in Wheatley Center, but did not have their Freedom Card to gain access. Officers assisted and gave access to the student. (Closed)
04/13/15 – Suspicious Incident – A student reported that someone might have been in their room while they were gone. All pertinent information was obtained and the cameras will be reviewed in the area to confirm if someone did enter. (Open)
04/13/15 – Departmental Information – This department was advised of an odor of natural gas in Hancock Hall. Maintenance was advised and the building and surrounding areas were checked with negative results. (Closed)
04/13/15 – Accident – A student filed a report of their vehicle being damaged while parked at Yorktown Hall. All pertinent information was obtained and a report was issued for insurance purposes. (Closed)
04/13/15 – Theft – A student reported items taken from their room in Braddock Hall. All necessary information was obtained, and this incident is currently under investigation. (Open)
04/13/15 – Accident – A student filed a report of their vehicle being damaged while parked in the Washington Gravel Lot. All pertinent information was obtained and a report was issued for insurance purposes. (Closed)
04/13/15 – Fire Alarm – This department was advised of a fire alarm activated in Concord Hall due to burnt food. Officers responded along with Maintenance and reset the alarm. (Closed)
04/13/15 – Smell of Marijuana – A professor reported an odor of marijuana in Massey Hall. Officers responded and checked the building; a group of theater students were rehearsing and using herbal incense as part of their play. (Closed)
04/13/15 – Hazardous Condition – This department was advised of a gas tank hissing in John Jay Center. Officers, Moon Fire Department and Maintenance responded and were able to contain the leaking tank. All parties cleared without incident. (Closed)
04/13/15 – Disturbance – Residence Life reported an argument in Concord Hall. Officers responded and spoke with both parties involved. Both parties were separated for the night without any further problems. (Closed)
04/13/15 – Accident – Students reported a vehicle hit a parked car in Yorktown’s parking lot and leave. Officers responded and were able to find the vehicle in question. A report was issued for insurance purposes. (Closed)
04/13/15 – Welfare Check – A concerned parent called requesting assistance in making contact with their son. Contact was made with the student and advised to contact his parents. (Closed)
