Fire Alarm/Smoke Detector Activated: Moon Dispatch reported a fire alarm activated in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt food. The fire department was cancelled and the panel reset.

May 8, 2020

Departmental Information: RMU Police Officers were on patrol when they found two RMU Students creating a disturbance in the Gravel Lot. The pair cooperated with officers and dispersed without further incident.

Trouble Alarm: Guardian Protection reported a trouble alarm in Lexington Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be a water leak in the mechanical closet. Maintenance was notified to shut the water off and fix the problem.

May 24, 2020

Suspicious Vehicle Check: RMU Police received a call reporting multiple vehicles entering Yorktown Hall’s parking lot. Officers responded and checked the property. Officers observed nothing out of the ordinary. The building was checked and all secured.

Alarm Malfunction/Fire or Elevator: Guardian Protection reported a trouble alarm in Concord Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be steam from the shower. Maintenance was notified and the panel reset.

Power Outage: Campus wide power outage. Guardian Protection reported multiple trouble alarms. RMU Maintenance was notified.

Suspicious Vehicle Check: RMU Police noticed a suspicious car parking near Marshall Hall. Officers observed marijuana in the vehicle. RES Life was notified and Officers searched Salem Hall for the vehicles owner. They were located and cooperative with Officers. They were trespassed from campus.
