June 1, 2020

Medical Emergency: Allegheny County 911 called to report Valley Ambulance was dispatched to the Island Sports Center. Officers arrived on scene to find Valley Medics treating and transporting the patient to UPMC Mercy Hospital.

June 3, 2020

Fire Alarm/Smoke Detector Activated: Moon Dispatch reported a fire alarm activated in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the room to be unoccupied. RES Life let Officers in the room. No sign of smoke or fire. The fire department was cancelled and the panel reset.

June 6, 2020

Found Property: RMU Officers found a pair of shoes near the North Athletic Complex. The shoes were logged into Lost and Found.

June 9, 2020

Property Damage (misc. items): RMU Grounds reported a broken window to the Lafayette Center. RMU Officers determined the window was broken by an animal. Pictures were taken. RMU Facilities will have the window repaired.

June 12, 2020

Fire Alarm/Smoke Detector Activated: Moon Dispatch reported a fire alarm activated in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the room to be unoccupied. RMU Maintenance let Officers in the room. No sign of smoke or fire. The fire department was cancelled and the panel reset.

June 13, 2020

Departmental Information: Police Academy Instructor reported his keys were in a vehicle that caught fire. The locksmith was notified.

June 17, 2020

Medical Emergency: RMU Public Safety Officer at the Island Sports Center reported an injured hockey player on the inline rink. The player was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

June 18, 2020

General Fire Alarm: Moon Dispatch reported a fire alarm activated in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the room to be unoccupied. Moon Fire Department arrived on scene. RMU Maintenance let Officers in the room. No sign of smoke or fire. Panel reset.

June 20, 2020

Fire Alarm/Smoke Detector Activated: Moon Dispatch reported a fire alarm activated in Salem Hall. Officer responded and found the cause to be burnt food. The fire department was cancelled and the panel reset.

Theft by Unlawful Taking: RMU student reported his belonging were missing from storage. Residence Life and RMU Facilities were notified. This incident is being investigated.

June 23, 2020

Disorderly Conduct: Island Sport Center Public Safety Officer was informed of an inline hockey player who was ejected from the game. The player then became unruly and vandalized the hallway. This incident is being investigated by RMU Detectives.

June 24, 2020

Found Property: RMU Officer was conducting building checks and found a letter addressed to a RMU Staff member laying on the ground. The letter was logged into Lost and Found and the staff member was notified. The letter was retrieved the next day.
