10/11/22: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Washington Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be unknown. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. The case is closed.

 

10/12/22: Suspicious Incident: A cleaner reported a large group of students leaving the building. Officers responded and were unable to locate the students. The building was checked and found secured. Cameras were reviewed and no entry was made into the second or third floor offices. This case is closed.

 

10/12/22: Found Property: A RMU cleaner found a ring in Yorktown Hall. The ring was turned over to RMU Police and logged into Lost and Found. The case is closed.

 

10/13/22: Medical Emergency: Residence Life requested medics for a medical emergency in Madison Hall. Officers responded and Valley Ambulance arrived. The medics transported the patient to the hospital. This case is closed.

 

10/14/22: Medical Emergency: RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was notified of a medical emergency on the Olympic Rink during a public skate. The patient was transported to the hospital by Valley Ambulance. The case is closed.

 

10/14/22: Departmental Information: RMU Police assisted Landmark security in escorting 3 guests out of the UPMC Events Center. They had violated the no cell phone policy during the Fluffy comedy show. This case is closed.

 

10/15/22: General Fire Alarm: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be steam from the shower. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. The case is closed.

 

10/16/22: Disturbance/Loud Music or People: RMU Police received a noise complaint for Lexington Hall. Officers responded and did not hear any excessive noise that would annoy the other residents. Officers completed a foot patrol without incident. This case is closed.

 

10/16/22: Property Damage (Vehicle): A RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was notified a guest reported their vehicle was damaged in the lot. All pertinent information was obtained. The case is closed.

 

10/17/22: Disturbance/Loud Music or People: RMU Police received a noise complaint for Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and did not hear any excessive noise. They knocked and spoke with one student who was loudly playing video games. This case is closed.

 

10/17/22: Fire Alarm- Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be steam from the shower. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was advised. The panel was reset. The case is closed.

 

10/17/22: Departmental Information: RMU Professor requested officers retrieve an item left behind in the Hale Center. Officer found the item and placed it into Lost and Found until it could be picked up. This case is closed.
