10/19/21: Welfare Check: Students reported someone curled up on a bench on the football field. Officers checked on the individual who was just stargazing. The case is closed.

 

10/20/21: Fire Alarm-Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt pizza. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

 

10/21/21: Medical Emergency: Allegheny County 911 reported a medical emergency in Washington Hall. Officers responded along with medics. The student was evaluated and refused transportation to the hospital. The case is closed.

 

10/22/21: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Residence Life discovered drug paraphernalia during a safety check in Salem Hall. Officers responded and removed the items. They were photographed and the incident was documented. This case is closed.

 

10/22/21: Accident Involving Damage-Att. Veh/Prop: A student reported their vehicle was hit on Campus Drive and Colonial Way. Report and pictures taken for insurance purposes. Police are currently looking for the driver that left the scene. The case is pending.

 

10/22/21: Suspicious Incident: The Police department received a call from the Madison Hall Call Box. Officers could hear yelling in the background. They responded and checked the building and surrounding area. Cameras were reviewed. A group of students passing through accidently pushed the button. This case is closed.

 

10/23/21: A student reported fraudulent charges on their bank card. They canceled their card and filed a claim disputing 11 charges. The case is closed.

 

10/24/21: Found Property: A Parkhurst employee located a black backpack. Officer took possession and entered it into Lost and Found. The owner was identified. This case is closed.

 

10/25/21: Medical Emergency: Student Health Services reported a medical emergency and contacted Allegheny County 911 for medics. Officers responded along with medics. The student was evaluated and refused transportation to the hospital. The case is closed.

 

10/25/21: Traffic Stop: RMU Police observed a vehicle that failed to stop at a posted stop sign. The officer conducted a traffic stop and explained the reason for the stop. The driver was issued a parking ticket. This case is closed.

 

10/25/21: Student Conduct: A student reported being cyber bullied through social media. RMU Police will talk to those involved and explain the consequences of cyber bullying and harassment by communication. The case is closed.

 

10/25/21: Property Damage: RMU Professor reported a sticker had been vandalized on their office door in the Wheatley Center. This incident was investigated. This case is closed.

 

10/25/21: Failure to Stop: RMU Police observed a vehicle that failed to stop at a posted stop sign. The officer conducted a traffic stop and explained the reason for the stop. The driver was issued a citation. The case is closed.
