12/14/2021 – 12:00 p.m. – Departmental Information – Complainant reported to the RMU Police that someone used their stolen debit card in a vending machine at the RMU Island Sports Center. This incident was turned over to the RMU Detectives. This case is pending.

12/14/2021 – 3:54 p.m. – Fire Alarm Smoke Detector Activated – Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Monroe Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be unknown. No signs of smoke or fire. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

12/14/2021 – 10:21 p.m. – Departmental Information – RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was notified about a juvenile running around without supervision. The PSO located the juvenile and had them return to their parents. This case is closed.

12/14/2021 – 11:27 p.m. – Fire Alarm Smoke Detector Activated – Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt beef. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

12/15/2021 – 1:23 p.m. – Medical Emergency – RMU Police were notified of a medical emergency in the Counseling Center. Officers responded and notified medics. The employee was evaluated and transported to the hospital. This case is closed.

12/15/2021 – 6:19 p.m. – Title IX – A student reported to RMU Police they were assaulted on campus. The complainant did not want to press charges. This incident will be documented and turned over to Title IX. This case is closed.

12/15/2021 – 7:06 p.m. – Fire Alarm Smoke Detector Activated – Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Lexington Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be students cooking bacon. RMU Maintenance was notified. The fire department was canceled. The panel was reset. This case is closed.

12/16/2021 – 3:08 p.m. – Smell of Marijuana – Residence Life reported the smell of marijuana in Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and met up with Residence Life. Four students will be sent through student conduct for violating the drug policy. This case is closed.

12/17/2021 – 12:29 a.m. – Medical Emergency – RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was notified a hockey player was injured. Medics were called and the player was transported to the hospital. This case is closed.

12/17/2021 – 7:41 p.m. – Medical Emergency – RMU Island Sports Center Public Safety Officer was notified a hockey player had hit their head. They refused for medics to be called. The player was transported to the hospital by a parent. This case is closed.
