Police Blotter 12/17/19-12/30/19

12/17/19- Trespassing- Officers received an anonymous complaint that a student that was banned from Salem Hall had been inside. CCTV video was reviewed and the individual charged with trespassing and sent through student conduct (closed). 

12/18/19- Departmental Information- Officer reported that he fell on ice near Massey Hall. No injury reported (closed). 

12/19/19- Suspicious person- Facilities staff reported a suspicious male in John Jay gym after the male had left. Officers reviewed video footage to locate the male and put out a Departmental memo for officers to keep an eye out during patrols (closed).

12/21/19- Departmental information- A student while off-campus for break reported that an ex-student was sending messages after being advised to stop. The incident was determined to happen outside this jurisdiction. Report taken for informational purposes (closed).

12/24/19- Suspicious incident- While patrolling Yorktown Hall an officer found a dorm room door open with no one around. The room was checked and Reslife Notified. Door secured (closed).

12/25/19- Fire alarm- Moon Dispatch notified this Department of a fire alarm at the University House. Officers arrived and determined the alarm to be false. No fire. The Fire Department was canceled and the alarm panel reset (closed).

12/26/19- Departmental information- Maintenance advised this Department of a water main break near Washington hall. Officers responded and found it not to cause a hazard or any damage at this time (closed). 

12/27/19- Lost property- Contractors at the police station to pick up keys for work. The keys were not on station. It was determined that they had been returned to facilities, not to the station. Unfounded (closed).

12/29/19- Lost Property- A student reported his rug missing from outside Marshall Hall. Investigation opened (pending).
