12/19/18- Suspicious Incident- Maintenance reported a concerning statement on a student’s board in Ross Hall. Investigation determined nothing threatening nor suspicious. The Student was advised to remove the statement (closed).
12/23/18- Fire Alarm- A Student reported that she set off the fire alarm in Salem Hall accidentally, while cooking. Officers responded to confirm. The Fire Dept was Cancelled and the alarm panel reset (closed).
12/28/18- Disturbance- Management at the Island Sports Complex reported an irate patron earlier in the day, giving staff issues. The individual was issued a trespass warning from the property (closed).
12/30/18- Medical Emergency- Island Sports Complex Kitchen staff reported that he burned his arm with hot oil. He refused medical treatment and was taken to the hospital by personal vehicle (closed).
1/01/19- Property Damage- Maintenance reported damage to the signs above the Patrick Henry Library entrance. The signs had fallen due to high winds. Officers responded and blocked off the area for safety during repair. Report and photos taken for Insurance purposes (closed).
1/04/19- Suspicious Incident- Administration reported that his staff is receiving texts from someone claiming to be him. IT investigating, as well as, the Police Dept (pending).
1/06/19- Medical Emergency- A patron of the Island Sports Complex reported an injured wrist. The on scene EMT checked his wrist. His mother will take him to the doctor for any follow up needed (closed).
1/06/19- Fire Alarm- Guardian Reported a fire alarm in Concord Hall. Officers responded to find the cause to be burnt food. The Fire Dept. was cancelled and the fire panel reset (closed).
1/12/19- Student Conduct Drugs- Residence Life reported a smell of Marijuana in Washington Hall. Two students sent through student conduct for drug violations and two non-students advised to leave campus (closed).
1/13/19- Fire Alarm- Guardian reported a fire alarm in Salem Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt food. The Fire Dept. was cancelled and the Fire panel reset (closed).
1/13/19- Retail Theft- Romo’s staff reported a male stole small items from the cafe. Officers checked the video footage. Case pending investigation (closed).
1/14/19- Accident with unattended vehicle- A male reported that he struck a parked vehicle in the Upper Massey Lot. Both parties were on scene. Information and pictures taken for insurance purposes (closed).
1/14/19- Medical Emergency- Staff at the Student Rec Center reported a male resident student with a knee injury. Patient transported to the hospital via ambulance. Residence Life notified (closed).
1/14/19- Smell of Marijuana- Residence Life reported a smell of Marijuana in Yorktown Hall. Officers responded and checked multiple areas. The source was unfounded (closed).
1/14/19- Student Conduct Alcohol- Residence Life reported a party in Gallatin Hall. Officers found all individuals to be underage and in possession of alcohol. All alcohol and empty containers were destroyed. Four students sent through student conduct for alcohol violations (closed).
1/15/19- Medical Emergency- A resident student of Yorktown Hall reported that she has been feeling ill for days and requested an Ambulance. The patient was transported to the hospital via ambulance (closed).
1/15/19- Fire Alarm- Guardian and Moon dispatch reported a fire alarm in Concord Hall. Officers arrived and determined the cause to be cooking. The fire Dept. was cancelled and the fire panel reset (closed).
