Failure to Stop at Stop Sign: RMU Police conducted a traffic stop for failing to stop at a posted stop sign. The officer explained the reason for the stop and the driver was issued two state citations. This case is closed.
Theft of Property Lost, Mislaid: A student reported clothing missing from the laundry room in Lexington Hall. RMU Detectives are investigating this incident. The case is closed.
Property Damage (vehicle): A student reported damage to their vehicle in the Yorktown Hall parking lot. All pertinent information was received for insurance purposes. This case is closed.

Fire Alarm – Smoke Detector Activated: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Concord Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be burnt food. RMU Maintenance was notified. The Moon Fire Department was canceled. The panel was reset. The case is closed.
Fire Alarm – False Activation: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Madison Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be a sprinkler head activation. Contractors were working in the building. RMU Maintenance was notified. The Moon Fire Department was canceled. This case is closed.
Medical Emergency: RMU Police received a call for a medical emergency outside the UPMC Events Center. Valley medics responded and evaluated the patient. They refused to be transported to the hospital. The case is closed.
Alarm Malfunction/ Fire or Elevator: Guardian Protection reported a fire alarm activation in Lexington Hall. Officers responded and found the cause to be an error in the system due to earlier work. Departmental Information: OVG staff requested RMU Officers’ assistance after the concert in the UPMC Events Center. All remaining guests left the building. The building was then swept to make sure no one was left behind. The case is closed.

Departmental Information: A student reported a suspicious incident outside Salem Hall. The student completed a voluntary statement. Officers responded and canvassed the area with negative results. This case is closed.
Found Property: OVG staff reported a backpack left behind after the concert in the UPMC Events Center. A property receipt was completed and the bag was placed in Lost and Found. The case is closed.

Departmental Information: A Residence Life CA reported watching a student remove chairs from the homecoming tent. RMU Detective was able to locate the student in Washington Hall. The chairs were retrieved and returned to the tent. The case is closed.
