Police Blotter 9/12/17-9/18/17

09/12/17 -302- Officers were called for a student in need of a medical evaluation. Valley Ambulance transported the student to Sewickley Hospital for treatment.(closed)

09/12/17 -Medical Emergency- Officers were notified of a student in need of medical attention.  Valley Ambulance transported the student to Sewickley Hospital for treatment.(closed)

09/12/17 -Student Conduct- Residence Life reported finding a case of beer in a room during their Health and Safety checks.  Officers responded and disposed of the beer. (closed)

09/14/17 -Medical Emergency- Officers were called for a student who sustained an injury on campus.  The student declined to have an ambulance respond, and advised they would follow up with Health Services in the morning.(closed)  

09/14/17 -Missing Person- This department was advised of a student who possibly is missing.  Officers and staff conducted a search of campus, and requested assistance from Moon Twp. Police.  The student returned to their dorm on campus later.(closed)

09/14/17 -Traffic Stop- An officer conducted a traffic stop on campus.  The driver received one citation at the conclusion of the stop.(closed)

09/15/17 -Defiant Trepass- This department was notified of a student being on campus who is not allowed.  Officers located the student and transported them to the Allegheny County Jail for defiant trespass.(closed)

09/15/17 -Accident- This department was advised of an accident in the parking lot by the Wheatley Center.  All pertinent information was obtained and a report was issued. (closed)

09/15/17 -Harassment-A student reported receiving harassing text messages from another student.  Both parties were advised to cease all activity or face criminal charges.(closed)

09/15/17 -Underage Drinking-Officers were called to Washington Hall for a large party.  The party was broken up, all alcohol was disposed of, and all parties involved were advised that they would receive citations as well as referral to Student Conduct.(closed)

09/15/17 -Disturbance- This department was notified of a possible fight at Yorktown Hall.  Officers responded and found the incident to be verbal argument, that had resolved itself prior to officer’s arrival.(closed)

09/15/17 -Underage Drinking-This department was notified of a party in Hancock Hall.  The alcohol was disposed of, and all parties involved were notified they would receive citations as well as referral through Student Conduct.(closed)

09/16/17 -Medical Emergency-Officers were called to Washington Hall for an intoxicated student.  Valley Ambulance transported the student to Sewickley Valley Hospital.  One citation issued.(closed)

09/16/17 –Public Drunkenness-Officers were called to the Nicholson Student Center for an intoxicated male.  Valley Ambulance transported the male to Sewickley Valley Hospital, one citations issued.(closed)

09/16/17 –Public Drunkenness-Officers were notified of an intoxicated male on a shuttle bus.  Valley Ambulance transported the male to Sewickley Valley Hospital, one citation issued.(closed)

09/16/17 –Welfare Check- This department was advised of a female student reporting to hurt themselves. The student was located at an off campus apartment, was taken to Sewickley Valley Hospital by Valley Ambulance for a medical evaluation.  Incident was handled by the Moon Twp. 09/16/17 –Lost Property-A student reported laundry missing from the laundry room in Concord Hall.  An officer investigated and found that the laundry was taken by mistake and returned.(closed)

09/16/17 -Disturbance- Officers were called to Ross Hall for a disturbance.  Officers found the occupants to be drinking and underage.  The occupants were advised they would be receiving citations and referral through Student Conduct. (closed)

09/16/17-Public Drunkenness- An officer viewed a male staggering and under the influence of alcohol at the Sewall Center.  The male was issued one citation and arraignments were made for a ride home for him.(closed)

09/16/17 –Public Drunkenness-A male student was found to be visibly intoxicated outside of Sewall Center.  The male was issued a citation and lodged at Moon Twp. Police Department until sober.(closed)

09/16/17Medical Emergency-A student at the Homecoming Dance was in need of medical attention.  Valley Ambulance was on scene and treated the student without transport.(closed)

09/16/17 -Simple Assualt-Officers were called to the Washington Gravel Lot for male who was assaulted by another unknown male.  This incident is under investigation at this time.(open)

09/17/17 -Traffic Stop- Officers were called about a suspicious vehicle by Monroe Hall.  Officers initiated a traffic stop and upon further investigation found no illegal activity, and released the driver.(closed)

09/17/17 –Medical Emergency-Officers were called to John Jay for a student in need of medical attention.  Valley Ambulance was called and transported the male to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment.(closed)

09/17/17 –Medical Emergency-Officers received a call for a female student in need of medical attention in Yorktown Hall.  Valley Ambulance treated the patient, who refused any further treatment.(closed)

09/16/17-Accident- This department took a report for a minor accident in the Joe Walton Circle parking lot.(closed)

09/18/17 -Theft- This department received a report of a theft of auto parts from a vehicle in the Colonial Way parking lot. (open)

09/17/17 –Departmental Information- This department was notified by the University Police at Mount Aloysius College of an incident pertaining to one of our students.  The information was forwarded to the necessary departments. (closed)
