1/22 – Departmental Information – Residence Life reported an incident between students and an RA in Marshall Hall. Upon officers’ arrival, the RA advised that no assistance was needed that the incident was no longer an issue. (Closed)
1/22 – Departmental Information – This department was advised that there were students stuck inside the elevator in Patrick Henry. Upon officers’ arrival, all elevators in the area were functioning properly and no one was stuck inside. (Closed)
1/23 – Smell of Marijuana – Residence Life reported an odor of marijuana on the seventh floor of Yorktown Hall. Upon officers’ arrival, there was a faint odor in the air, but officers were unable to determine where it originated. (Closed)
1/24 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a fire alarm activated in Washington Hall. Upon officers’ arrival, it was determine the alarm was activated due to a leaking pipe in the ceiling dripping on the smoke detector. Maintenance was notified. (Closed)
1/24 – Smell of Marijuana – Residence Life reported an odor of marijuana on the tenth floor of Yorktown Hall. Upon officers’ arrival, there was a faint odor in the air, but officers were unable to determine where it originated. (Closed)
1/24 – Fire Alarm – Guardian advised of a fire alarm activated in Washington Hall. The cause for the alarm was the smoke detector from a previous call still being wet from a leaking pipe. Maintenance was notified. (Closed)
1/25 – Departmental Information – A faculty member reported falling on the roadway behind John Jay due to icy conditions. The faculty member did not wish for medical treatment and advised that he/she would go on his/her own later if needed. A report was written for insurance purposes if needed. (Closed)
1/26 – Student Conduct – Residence Life reported a smell of marijuana in Marshall Hall. Officers were able to locate the origin and spoke with the students involved. Officers obtained consent to search and found paraphernalia and marijuana residue. The student was advised this case would be forwarded to Judicial Affairs for judgment. (Closed)
1/26 – Student Conduct – Residence Life reported a fight in Washington Hall. Officers responded and ended up citing one student, and lodging him/her at Coraopolis P.D. for the night. (Closed)
1/27 – Fire Alarm – Guardian reported a smoke detector activated in Concord Hall. Upon officers’ arrival, it was determined that the cause for the alarm was the residents’ cooking. Officers reset the alarm panel and cleared. (Closed)

1/28 – Motor Vehicle Accident – This department was advised of a vehicle stuck on the curb on Massey Way by Colonial Village. Officers located the vehicle and stood by while AAA responded. The vehicle was removed from the curb without causing any damage to the vehicle or property owned by the university. (Closed)
