After nobody possessed a winning ticket for Powerball’s drawing on Saturday (10/7), the jackpot total has surged to the fourth largest in US history and third in Powerball history.
On Saturday, nobody was fortunate enough to win the $1.42 billion jackpot worth an estimated cash amount of $623.9 million. The winning numbers were 47, 54, 57, 60, and 65. There was a red Powerball 19 and a 3x power play.
The futile tickets have led to a historical amount for Monday’s drawing (10-9). The pot has surged to an incredible amount of $1.55 billion. The estimated cash amount is $679.8 million.
The drawing will take place on Monday at 10:59 p.m. EST. If you are not lucky enough to take home the grand prize, there are still opportunities to win. Match 5 tickets worth $1 million without Powerball and $2 million with Powerball will be up for grabs.
In recent times, large jackpots have become increasingly more common. Between Powerball and Mega Millions, five jackpots have reached $1 billion or more in the past two years due to changes in both the game and the price of tickets.
If nobody claims the ticket from Monday night’s drawing, the next Powerball drawing will commence on Wednesday night, October 11.
