During the inauguration of President Dr. Michelle Patrick on Friday, Robert Morris University announced a historic gift thus renaming its School of Business.

Patrick spoke on the significance of the donation, “This is a transformational gift to the university and it is the largest personal gift that we have ever received and it is going to make us soar into the next century and will affect every student’s life here at Robert Morris in a positive way.”

Pittsburgh’s S. Kent Rockwell Foundation and Kent Rockwell Family made a gift to the university.

Madame President Michelle Patrick announced that the Rockwell Foundation and family gave Robert Morris University an $18 million gift. This is the largest personal gift in the university’s history.

Robert Morris named their founding academic school the Rockwell School of Business.

This gift also permanently endows the S. Kent Rockwell Professorship of Entrepreneurship as well as the existing S. Kent Rockwell Fellowship for Entrepreneurship.

With this generous gift, the university will be able to continue its mission to inspire the spirit of entrepreneurship in students and faculty for years to come.
