More than 20 runners from the RMU campus and surrounding area trekked out into the cold this morning, Saturday, Nov. 3, to take part in the seventh annual Susan Hofacre memorial walk/run. Beginning at 9 a.m runners and walkers alike began the grueling five kilometer course across RMU’s campus.
After the conclusion of the race, participants and staff gathered in one of the many Sewall center conference rooms for refreshments, raffles and awards. The first place overall male was Kevin Klus, and the first place overall woman was Peggy Laquatra.
Proceeds from the walk/run will help fund a scholarship in memory of Susan Hofacer, former sport management professor and Division I athletic coordinator at RMU.
