A winter storm warning will go into effect 8 p.m. Sunday for the Pittsburgh area, which includes Moon Township.
The National Weather Service estimates that 3 to 6 inches of snow will fall through Sunday night into Monday morning with the warning expiring at 11 a.m. Monday.
According to the National Weather Services statement, the most intense periods of snow will be around midnight through predawn hours on Monday.
The snow is expected to diminish by Monday afternoon, but commuters can expect hazardous traveling conditions during the Monday morning commute.
