A traffic accident involving multiple vehicles inside the Squirrel Hill Tunnel has brought travel to a standstill on the inbound side of the Parkway East.
The accident occurred inside the tunnel around the time the afternoon rush started. Traffic is currently backing up towards the Wilkinsburg Exit.
It is not yet known the precise number of vehicles involved in the accident, if anyone has been hurt, or the amount of time it will take to reopen the tunnel.
