The next president of the United States is expected to appoint up to three new Supreme Court justices, a move that can have big implications for the country as a number of controversial issues are expected to come before the court.

Since appointment to the Supreme Court is a lifetime position, the appointment of liberal or conservative justices will determine laws that could shape our nation for decades to come.
