Thomas Matthews Crooks, who allegedly tried to assassinate former President Donald Trump on Saturday, was set to attend Robert Morris University in the fall 2024 semester.
According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette in a statement released by RMU, “Our hearts go out to former President Trump, the family of Mr. Corey Comperatore, and anyone physically or emotionally harmed by this tragic event.”
Crooks recently attended Community College of Allegheny County where he received an associate’s degree in engineering science. He was a student who achieved high honors. Crooks also graduated from Bethel Park High School.
Crooks had a clean record and did not have any criminal history. The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information should call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
