OVG Facilities announces management of new UPMC Events Center

MOON TOWNSHIP — Oak View Group Facilities have named Scott Zimmerman the general manager of the UPMC Events Center, which is being built on the Robert Morris University campus.
According to a statement from Robert Morris University, prior to being appointed General Manager of the new arena, Zimmerman was director of booking at PPG Paints Arena in downtown Pittsburgh, PA.
While managing the arena on campus, Zimmerman will lead the OVG Facilities team in overseeing booking, marketing, ticketing, event coordination, financial oversight and operational services.
“Scott is a well-respected and accomplished leader in our industry with the experiences and resources to help us successfully open and operate the UPMC Events Center,” said OVG Facilities President Hank Abate. “With his knowledge of the Pittsburgh region and his numerous contacts throughout the touring industry, we are excited to have Scott join our team.”
The UPMC Events Center is set to open May 2019.
