The Bull has found a new ring for his final season of eligibility heading into the 2021-22 regular season as things are heating up in the desert.
Former star Robert Morris men’s basketball forward AJ Bramah has officially announced his decision to transfer to Arizona State, per his Twitter account.

Arizona State, lead by head coach Bobby Hurley, finished the 2020-21 season 11-14 overall, 7-10 in Pac-12 play, and ninth in the conference this season, falling to Oregon 91-73 in the second round of the Pac-12 Tournament. Before the pandemic shutting down the remainder of the 2019-20 season, the Sun Devils compiled a 20-11, 11-7 mark with a dominating 13-3 record.
After originally announcing his top three destinations on March 17, with St. Bonaventure, Western Kentucky, and Nevada the final teams in the running for the former Horizon League top scorer, Bramah posted a new update on March 22 including Arizona State as a fourth team the 6’7’’ playmaker will debate between joining for next season.

Before entering the transfer portal on February 12, Bramah, who has one year of eligibility remaining, led Robert Morris with a team-high 21 points and conference-leading 11.4 rebounds in Horizon League action this season.

After transferring from Sheridan College in Wyoming, Bramah posted 13.4 points and 8.2 rebounds-per-game for the RMU in 2019-20, helping the program win their final NEC game in the 2020 NEC Championship at the UPMC Events Center. Bramah averaged 15.4 points and 8.7 rebounds-per-game in 45 career games as a Colonial, starting 24 of them.
Coming into the season, Bramah significantly worked on his jump shot, resulting in instant improvements to stretch his game from the block to also include jumpers from the elbow and wing.
After being paused from team activities for RMU’s January 29-30 matchup against defending conference regular-season champion Wright State and 2019-20 Horizon League Player of the Year Loudon Love, Bramah left the team only hours before Robert Morris was set to host Oakland for a two-game set, with Bramah stating the day before on his Snapchat story his intent to battle it out and earn a victory.
Robert Morris finished the 2020-21 season 4-15 overall and 3-12 in their first Horizon League season, finishing 1-5 since Bramah departed the program including three straight losses to Detroit Mercy, with the final defeat coming in the conference tournament.
