Veltri, a graduate who joined RMU during the offseason, played for Niagara the previous four years, garnering six shutouts before getting his seventh this weekend.
The Fox Chapel native conceded two goals in his debut for the Colonials, but then posted a shutout in his second game as Robert Morris split with Bowling Green.
During the series Veltri collected 73 saves, including 40 saves in the loss, with .973 average save percentage. As of now Veltri tops the league charts in shutouts, save percentage, and saves.
Veltri and the Colonials look to keep up the excitement and stats when they face Mercyhurst this Saturday, Oct. 14 in Erie.
