In January, Puddifant led the CHA in blocked shots with 18 and in assists with 13, including the primary assist on the game winning goal on Jan. 20 in a win at Mercyhurst. In that game she also had a career high six blocked shots. Puddifant also led all Colonial defensemen with 14 points.
The Calgary native had a six game point streak that was unfortunately ended on the Colonials’ 4-3 win at Syracuse on Jan. 26.
In that six game stretch, Puddifant had six assists. Puddifant also is currently sixth in the CHA in blocked shots with 45 and fifth in the CHA with her 13 assists.
This is Puddifant’s first CHA monthly award, but this is the Colonials’ twelfth conference award on the season. Alaina Giampietro leads the team in that department with three CHA Rookie of the Week awards.
You can catch Cholé Puddifant and the rest of the Colonials back in action on Feb. 2-3 as they travel up to Rochester, N.Y. to take on the RIT Tigers for a weekend series.
