Arguably the Colonials’ best player this season, Dachon Burke, will be playing for a new team next season.
According to a university official, Burke was granted his release from the team and will look to transfer to another school for his junior and senior seasons.
Burke averaged 17.7 points per game 5.9 rebounds per game and totaled 63 steals on the season.
A member of the 2017 All-NEC second team, many analysts believed Burke should have been considered for defensive player of the year.
Burke will be the second RMU player to receive his release from the team after Leondre Washington received his release earlier today.
