The transfer portal after the 2020-21 season of college basketball will be more congested than a downtown traffic jam heading into the national championship during rush hour, as another member was added to the list late Sunday night.

Dahomée Forgues announced via Instagram her intention to transfer from the Robert Morris women’s basketball program, becoming the sixth Colonial to transfer since the inception of the season.

She follows Isabella Posset (St. Francis Brooklyn), Riley Arrigo (California University of Pennsylvania), Trinity Papamandjaris, Yasmine Sifaoui and Meghan Callahan, who grad-transferred on Thursday, to leave head coach Charlie Buscaglia’s team as the Colonials struggled in their first Horizon League season.

The sophomore guard from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec averaged 4.3 points and 1.5 rebounds-per-game in limited action this season, only appearing in eight games, starting three of them. Her best performance of the year came against Oakland on February 5, recording a season-high 12 points and five assists. She averaged 5.0 points-per-game during her RMU career.

Forgues will have three years of eligibility remaining after the NCAA granted an additional year of potential action for student-athletes on October 15 if she chooses to accept it, potentially being immediately eligible as well for one-time transfers moving schools this season.

After being on their way to winning the NEC Championship for the fourth time in five years, the pandemic concluded RMU’s 2019-20 season and the ensuing NEC Tournament, ending the Colonials NEC shelf life in the process.

Robert Morris finished this past season 4-13 and 4-12 in Horizon League competition, now continuing to see members of the program’s roster walk out the door.
