Emily Curlett was the backbone of the Colonials defense this season and her play has been rewarded as she was named to the All-USCHO Third Team. She was one of the many leaders who carried the Colonials to a record of 16-8-1 and their first CHA championship since 2017 after coming up short in her first three seasons here.
Curlett finished her senior season scoring six goals, including the first NCAA Frozen Four tournament goal in program history. She also had nine assists to finish tied for third on the team in points with 15. The 15 points also put her second in the league for points by defenders.
Curlett finished her time here at Robert Morris just a point shy of the all-time record for points by defenders with 93, but she does hold the record for most goals by defenders with 43. Curlett is one of the best defenders to come through the Colonials’ women’s hockey program, and she is a no brainer to be apart of the All-USCHO team.
