Fresh off their first season back in the NEC, Robert Morris football has announced their 2025 schedule as the Colonials will look to better their 7-5 record from last season and get back to a conference championship for the first time since 2010.
RMU will open their season on Aug. 30 against West Virginia. This will be the first matchup between Colonials and the Mountaineers, and will be the first time the team has faced a member of the Big 12 Conference.
The following week, RMU will stay on the road, this time taking on rivals Youngstown on Sept. 6. One week later on Sept. 13, the Colonials will welcome West Liberty for their home opener. This will also be a first time meeting between the two programs.
Their homestand will continue on September 20, when the Colonials welcome Dayton. This will be the first time seeing the Flyers since the season opener in 2022, when the Colonials fell 22-20 at Joe Walton Stadium.
NEC play begins on Oct. 4 against Merrimack, followed by a home bout against reigning NEC champs, Central Connecticut State, on Oct. 11.
A three game road trip commences on Oct. 18 against LIU, which will be followed by trips to Saint Francis and Stonehill on Oct. 25 and Nov. 1.
The Colonials will finish their season locally, with two of their final three games at home. Joe Walton Stadium will see Wagner take on RMU on Nov. 8, before the Colonials travel up the road to take on Mercyhurst the following week on Nov. 15.
A thrilling season finale is in store for Colonial fans on Nov. 22, when Duquesne arrives in Moon Township for another edition of the crosstown rivalry. The Colonials will welcome the Dukes for the first time since 2019.
Robert Morris finished last season in a slump, losing two of their last three, including a demolition at the hands of Duquesne and a double OT heartbreaker to Central Connecticut. The losses were the only two the Colonials held in conference last year, as they finished 4-2 and missed out on the NEC Championship Game.
