On Tuesday, the Atlantic Hockey Association named yet another former member to its hall of honor as part of the 20th-year celebration as Cody Wydo was named to the team this morning.

Wydo joins former teammate Zach Lynch in the Atlantic Hockey Hall of Honors as only the second Colonial to receive the honor.

After his time as a Colonial, Wydo played for the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) for three consecutive seasons before being promoted to the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins (AHL) for two seasons.

He then shifted his career to the Swiss League, where he played for HC Thurgau during the 2018-19 season.

During his time at Robert Morris, Wydo helped the Colonials to the 2013-14 Atlantic Hockey Conference Championship defeating Canisius 7-4 in the championship game before falling to Minnesota in the St. Paul Regional in the NCAA tournament.

Throughout his career with the Colonials, the Southgate, Mich. native tallied 150 points, including 85 goals and 23 assists. His best season with the program came back in that championship-winning 2013-14 season, where he scored a career-high 31 goals, 23 assists, and 54 points, including a hat-trick against the Golden Griffins in the conference championship game.

The honor comes as Wydo currently holds the record for most goals scored by a player in Atlantic Hockey history with 85 total career goals.
