#FormerColonialWatch: Zac Lynch named to Atlantic Hockey’s Top 20 Players
November 29, 2022
Former Colonial Zac Lynch is being inaugurated as part of the first class of the Atlantic Hockey Hall of Honor.
Lynch, who was a part of the team from 2012-16, is being recognized as one of the 20 best players in the league in honor of the league’s 20th season.
Lynch, who is a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., played all four years for the Colonials playing in 152 games and gathering a total of 156 points (67 goals and 89 assists). In 2015-16 he broke the RMU single-season record for points having 55 points that year. He currently still sits second all-time in points and goals and third all-time in assists.
During his time as a Colonial, Lynch helped the team win 87 games in his four seasons. Over that period, the team was able to win five championships, two of which were Confluence Cups (13, 15), also two Atlantic Hockey regular season championships (15,16) and one Atlantic Hockey tournament title in 2014.
Players of current and former members of Atlantic Hockey programs are eligible for consideration for this honor. Lynch is the 10th player to be named to the Hall of Honor so far this season.
The AHA will announce one inductee weekly throughout the 2022-23 season. The final former student-athlete will be recognized during the week of Feb. 19, 2023.
