RMU women’s hockey returned this fall with a new team with new faces. And to the surprise of many, the new faces have helped RMU return to the postseason tournament.
Alaina Giampietro and Maggie Hatch have stepped up big for the Colonials this season and have been rewarded with CHA All-Rookie Honors. Giampietro also garnered a spot on the All-CHA Second Team.

Robert Morris has been raking in the awards this season. Giampietro and fellow freshman Janelle Evans had collected nine awards this season, now 11 with Giampietro’s postseason honors.
In total, 19 awards have been earned by the Colonials this season, but with the upcoming Mercyhurst series in the semi-finals of the CHA playoffs, RMU could be looking at more.
