On Tuesday, College Hockey America announced its monthly recognitions. Two Colonials would take home the awards as Alaina Giampietro and Maggie Hatch won Rookie of the Month and Goaltender of the Month awards for October.

Maggie Hatch won the CHA goaltender of the month for October thanks to her .927 save percentage and 2.77 goals against average through October. Hatch set a career-high in saves against Mercyhurst with 41 saves. Those 41 saves added to a monthly total of 140 shots on goal.
Alaina Giampiertro takes home the Rookie of the Month as she has had a hot start to her career. She led the Colonials with 12 points, six goals, and six assists. Giampietro took home rookie of the week honors in the last two weeks of October, finishing the month with two goals and an assist in the Mercyhurst game.
