On Friday afternoon, the Horizon League announced the decision to prohibit fans from both men’s and women’s basketball games throughout the remainder of the regular season.

The decision comes after a November 4 ruling by the conference to not allow spectators through all of November and December.

Robert Morris Athletics announced a plan for no fans to attend home events through the end of 2020 on November 30.

The absence of fans is a disappointing reality for RMU basketball as both programs adapt to being in the Horizon League and taking on a full slate of new teams, providing an added challenge for the battle-tested Colonials.
