Horizon League announces no fans for rest of men’s and women’s basketball seasons

On Friday afternoon, the Horizon League announced the decision to prohibit fans from both men’s and women’s basketball games throughout the remainder of the regular season.

The decision comes after a November 4 ruling by the conference to not allow spectators through all of November and December.
Robert Morris Athletics announced a plan for no fans to attend home events through the end of 2020 on November 30.

The absence of fans is a disappointing reality for RMU basketball as both programs adapt to being in the Horizon League and taking on a full slate of new teams, providing an added challenge for the battle-tested Colonials.
