For the fourth consecutive week, a RMU men’s basketball player has won the Horizon League’s Player of the Week, with Josh Omojafo being tabbed today following his career day against IU Indy last Thursday.
The junior guard led the Colonials with 27 points against the Jaguars, which locked up the team’s first Horizon League regular season championship. Omojafo also recorded seven rebounds, three assists and shot 4-6 from the arc.
This is the first season at RMU for Omojafo after transferring from Gannon, but the Ontario native has hit the ground running for the Colonials, averaging 10.9 points per game as well as 1.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds.
RMU will wait until Thursday, March 6 to play again, when they welcome the lowest remaining seed to the UPMC Events Center in the Horizon League Quarterfinals.
